I don't know much about cars (I am learning), so how will I know if one will fit?

well it doesn't really matter but the lanos stock tubing is 1.5 inches. but any shop can get an adapter to make it fit any size. but i believe most universal mufflers are only like 2inches or 2.5inches. try to find one that 2inches. but if you want performance get 2inch pipes from the catylitic converter and back. known as a Cat-Back exhaust. i would recommend for a shop to do the work so its on there correctly. its shouldn't be that expensive especially if you just have them put on a muffler that you already have. i'm guessing they might charge about 20pounds just for installation of the muffler. it'll be more expensive if you got the cat-back though.

I got a muffler with 2 upswept doube tips installed, and the pipe that comes from the muffler is 3.5 inches, so im sure you have nothing to worry about.

MOT sucks ..... but for guys like me who want to import a hot modified Vauxhall from the UK with a couple tiny rust spots it's great.

I can't belive the price of some of the failed MOT vehicles I come across on the UK Vauxhall Forums.

Sorry to hear about your car.... hope you get it fixed up and back on the road.
