Yeah he said there's holes in it which are very noticable from the bottom of the car.
He said it would be unrepairable and better to replace it with a new muffler.
That's why I was looking at a performance one rather that just another stock/standard replacement.

okay in that case any muffler will work. you can even go on ebay and get a universal muffler if you want. that'll be the cheapest route. if you want good qulity then get Ractive, magnaflow, flowmaster, apc, or anything like that. ractive would be my personal choice.

Hehe... Isn't that what a muffler does?! hehe
As for mufflers going bad and being more bad news? eh... not so much. Mufflers rust out. When I bought my woo, this is what my muffler looked like:

You can see the hole at the bottom there.
Do all universal ones sound louder?
I'd like one that sounds cool as well as looks it.
I was thinking about ebay too, but they all say make sure you know what size your exhaust tube is to connect the backbox.

There are lots of choices for mufflers (as long as they will fit). I went with an OEM muffler, which will be fine for me for now. I might upgrade to something else down the road, but I didn't want to go too expensive right away with my muffler.
