Good thinking. Of course I didn't know your Mom, but I think she would have wanted nothing more than for you to go on with your life and be as happy as possible. If you feel like talking or something, please feel free to contact me. My MSN is JohnnyC@Johnnygfx.com

Sorry to hear about your loss Efrain, Tom told me about it yesterday. ( I haven't been online )

My grandfather had a stroke in his late sixties that left him crippled... the entire left side of his body stopped functioning.

It took him five years of hard work and rehabilitation at a local clinic before he managed to get enough strength to walk with a cane.

He lived another 15 year but he had several mini-strokes along the way that ended up taking away his ability to walk, talk and even open his eyes.

They had to use tape to keep his eyelids open so that he could see and he could barely communicate in the last five years due to a loss of most of his hearing.

Near the end he was still of sound mind but he was trapped in a body that didn't function anymore..... I could tell that this was torture for him.

I know this probably doesn't help fill the void created by your loss but I honestly think that living a full life with a quick end is the best way to pass on.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family..... Chris
