Hmmmm So you don't mind sacrificing performance for the extra big rims? I wouldn't.

I would go to a maximum of 16" wheels (I personally will be going with 15") and go with a set that are light weight and nice looking.

I saw a guy with some 20"+ rims on a car recently. They looked too much like wagon wheels for my taste... I actually like seeing a bit of rubber there. :D

If you want bigger, i'd say no bigger than 17 maybe 18 on a car, if you're in a truck/suv, 19+ is fine in my opinionbut on a car, it would look weird... I generally like five spoke wheels, such as these Image

Really though, what is your taste?

Also like JohnnyC was talking about the bigger the rim, the more performance loss... So if you can go for a lighter wheel since i'm kind of thinking you'd like your car to perform relatively in the same manner, if not better than as it does now...

For a Leggy nothing over 17 inches

Look for 5Zigen, WORK, ROTA and Volk wheels

all i care is going fast

Pimped out cars MAY look good but still slow for all the extra weight

Fast cars look good with simple and light things

x2. I recommend rota wheels! I've never owned 5zigen but do love they're wheels.

Ps.. You can go bigger and lighter (I know theres still more weight on the outside where it hurts though). I've seen 17x9" wheels that are the same weight as my stock 15x6.5"

in my openion the leggy isnt exactly a "race car" so i wouldnt care about the weight or size and just do what looks nice

like some nice 18x7.5

i know on my acura sence it is a luxury car and i only use it for driving, i will be putting some 19"s on it when i get the cash

yeah if your not hell bent on performance just go with 18's that would be the ideal size for the leggy.

You may not be intrested in performance.. but Im sure you wont be happy when your acceleration and breaking is reduced. I think the breaking is more effected than the acceleration

it really depends what kind of rims he gets though. if he gets some thick ass chrome rims then yeah it'll change it to where he could tell. if he just gets some tuner rims then it shouldn't be too bad.

I had two sets of wheels that I changed around almost weekly. A set of 16x7 and 17x7. The 16s were 13.2lbs and the 17s were some 18lbs. I noticed a HUGE difference in braking, and a big difference in accel. I even noticed some of a difference in cornering

true but you race a lot and know any little subtle changes on your car. for a daily driver it shouldn't be that bad but yeah either way he goes i say just nothing over 18's b/c that'll just cause headaches later with tires and all that.

I noticed on my Lanos that just going from 14" to 15" I lost accelleration and top end speed.

When I get new wheels for my Leganza, I will probably get 15", but if I get larger, absolutly no later than 16".

I saw a Leganza with 20" and in my opinion it looked silly.

Mine has 17's (which are for sale :D ). I like the way 17's look on Leggys. Once it's lowered about a 1.5" all around, i think the will look perfect. Stock are 205/60/15, and i have 205/50/17 now. Im pretty sure the weight difference is minimal. My acceleration is about the same. Mine are alloy, not chrome.
