What is the difference between coilovers and struts, shox, springs. Also what would be the best for a 1.5 sohc lanos thanks.
wheel/tire sizes that will fit a lanos and will have minimal effect on speedo are:
13" 175/70/13
14" 185/60/14
15" 195/50/15
16" 205/40/16
17" 205/35/17

Use this page to help determine which tires will be roughly the same diameter as the factoy sizes. This should help alot in choosing which sizes will work, and which wont.

well I am going to try and have a set of koneg 18's mounted today, I don't have a lowering kit or anything,I think this would kills any hope of getting one.
I was originally planning on going with 16s and possibly 17s, but my roomate said he would sell me the wheels with the tires for 250 so I just couldn't pass it up, if they don't fit I'll re-sell them and get some different ones.

well unfortunately the 18s wouldn't fit I thought he said they were universal 4's but they were universal 5's but oh well back to the hunt for tires and rims again!
joso I beleive the tires were a 215/35 I think I am not 100% sure but I know the side wall measurement was definately 35.

That second number in 215/35 means the size of the side wall measured in percent of the tyre size (75.25 mm in this case). You were looking at a total diameter of 23.9" wich is a lot. If I was you I would get nothing bigger than 17", 17" being quite big actually. 215mm of size is too much too (around 8.5").
