Guys,
Theres plenty of good posts on here about engine conversions many thanx to all the contributors, was just wondering if the suspension was also upgraded or if all are running on the factory setup? If you are running factory, do you notice any handling change given that your Centre Of Gravity (COG) has been altered, only if a little.
Has anyone got nolathane components on their car (sway bars etc), how much of a change did it make?
Engine swap = suspension upgrade ??

i have did some little reserch on the subject and i found out the following:
-) the 1350 and 1500 SOHC lanos shares the same suspension and brakes however the 1.6 DOHC got bigger brake rotors, calipers and master cylinder as well as "different" front suspension member and springs.
by different i mean they showed up different part numbers in the parts manual but i am not sure of the exact differences, i suppose the springs are stiffer and the suspension member might be stronger... the shock absorber is the same regardless of the engine type.
-) the 1.6 and 2.0 nubira have the same suspension and brakes setup.
don't quote m on this as i might have slipped something in the middle but this is waht i could gather so far.

Thanx guys, was just wondering thats all as I'll probably put some new bushings on the sway bars soon. I was curious to see how the lanos handles with the extra weight in the front, I want to set mine up so it sticks like sh!t to a blanket, given you can only legally go so fast it you can get it sticking well then you can hold your speed through the corners. They are'nt too bad with a stock set up, but id like to cut down on the body roll. Im also running on stock 13" rims and although I will upgrade later I would still like to get that "WTF ??!!" response out of people.
Ive had a look at the "how to" on strut mounts, does anyone use these and if so, how much of a benefit are they?
