Is the black thing a resonator or catalytic converter?

With a turbo you don't really need the resonator.... my Turbo Lemans is as quiet as a new car..... it's pretty much straight through.

Turbo's are great for quieting exhaust.... my Optra 5 (no resonator 2.5" mandrel tubing with magnaflow muffler ) is 10 times louder..... even at idle it's nearly the same loudness as the turbo Lemans is at full throttle.

its a straight through glass pack (like a resonator) and i had it on the old exhaust system and it was fairly loud. but that was with out a muffler.. with a muffler it should to my liking.. i dont want a loud exhaust.. nothing worse then a hick in his ford truck running straight pipes and his exhaust exit is right at the window blowing your ears out!!! i hate that so much.. to bad the cops here dont do anything about that

LOL Sorry man - search owns me - i promise i wont be a n00b for too much longer

Turbos really do smooth out the exhaust sound and quieten it down.
With a big body resonator and big body muffler, the exhaust note is almost stock quiet!
