Lowering....does it effect the struts?

Lowering....does it effect the struts?
I am thinking about lowering my aveo and was wondering if that would kill my struts or not...I heard from someone that they will and was just curious.

If you are going to get lowering springs, I would suggest you get new shocks and struts, also.
From what I have heard (I do not know for fact), the OEM shocks & struts were not made to work at their most efficient when sitting in a position that is lower than their center resting position with orrigional height springs.
Performance shocks and struts are meant to work efficiently when sitting in a lower position than the stock height so they are a better choice when lowering the car.
Again, this is just what I have been told and do not have hard facts to back this up.
I changed my shocks and struts on my Lanos when I put in lowering springs and the car is MUCH better than it was before with the OEM springs, shocks & struts.
I am sure there are more people with better information than I have, but as always ... we want to see pics of your car!!
