My cps is also bad. My car is at my mechanic and he is changing it for me. I looked at it and it is right behind the cam gears. I tried to change it my self but i couldnt reach one of the bolts without taking off the gears. So adjusting the time is out of my range of repairs. You could do it without taking offf the gears but you dont want to drop any of the parts down behind the timing cover!!!

never done it before but basicly it will require removal of the timing belt cover... not sure if their are any other parts that comes into your way during this job but ithink it is fairly easy to do.
