Left the Y pipe attached to the bottom of the airbox and hooked a tube to the bottom of the Y pipe where the resonator used to be.

I did each stage of the intake mods seperately and drove around for a while and I thought each mod made a difference....
- K&N Panel Filter
- Remove resonator
- Ram hose to the bottom of the Y pipe

Made a noticeable difference especially in second gear between say 40 and 75km/h and again in third, It started to pick up and go quite nicely.

I'd highly recommend it (especially since you can do it REALY cheaply), i used some bright blue bendy vacuum cleaner hose for that  and clamped it with a hose clamp to the bottom of the Y pipe and zip ties to the front bar.

does the stock air filter box with a K&N filter and a pipe from the box to the fog light works ?

I want to use the stock box to avoid heat

To check the temp you cant use a OBDII for check it . I check mine today and here the results whit the IAT sensor conected.
Stock air filter:
Coolant @ 180 F.
IAT @ 136 F.

Racing air filter but factory pipe:
Coolant @180 F.
IAT @ 108 F.

Racing air filter whit metal intake:
Coolant @ 190 F.
IAT @ 115 F.

Coolant @ 185 F.
IAT @ 118 F.

Coolant @ 187 F.
IAT @ 120 F.

Whith that results you can see the results in performance. Remember when the IAT sensor read low temps: more gas. High temp: less gas.
