Hmmm but that couldn't possibly look as good, could it?
I keep thinking about his dual input. Here's the thing I worry about:
When he reaches full speed on the highway and the air from the fog light hole is being pushed through at incredible speeds, but it is not from the engine bay, it would negate the effectiveness of forcing the air in there. Essentially, whatever air the engine was unable to pull into itself would be re-routed out into the engine bay as opposed to inside the engine.
More or less it seems to me that one or the other would be fine, but both may be unwise. (just opinion... not flaming anything here)
Air intake idea (thinking of trying this, would like ideas)

Ventilating the Hood is a good idea. I go with Audacity on this, all this plumbing will have wierd effects, and be hard to prove it works.
I have measured it with one of those cheap in-car thermometers you get for "Frost Warning"(pile of junk really), and you can reduce under-hood temp considerably. Maaaan does it get warm under there!!
Of course you could slot the Hood itself, and route air through as you feel fit. (You can buy kits from motorsport people)
I have taken the Rubber "Door seal" strip off the under bonnet near the Firewall, this helps a little without drastic measures. it just makes the engine sound more thrashy on them nights you want to cruise!!
This RAM air from the Fog light works a little, but you have to remember you get an area around the "Hole" of pressure, which reduces the effective area where air is drawn in at speed. use the area where the "Resonator box was as reservoir for air.
It is one of the biggest enemies of modern motors is "under-hood"!! temperature, I remember a "must" for Fiats when "tweaking" them was Heat insulation of the "Zorst".
The Hood does not have an airtight seal, and remove any of the seals, this is a cheap improvement. Slot the Hood if you wanna get a re-spray Loan!!

So yeah, i decided to not bother with that idea of mine.
Seems like too much fart assing around... i also have a tendancy to get these crazy ideas that seem like really really good ideas at the time, but when i put them into practice... dont work.

Where i live they have restrictions for provisinal license holders, meaning we cant modify our cars too much... they can get pretty strict with modified cars here aswell.
So i need to get as much as i can with what i can.
So I think ill try the hood spacer mod...
And if its true that the best spot for cold air is through that hole in the engine bay (where the resonator was), i mite look into extending the filter down in there.
Thanks for the replies

Sounds like NSW to me.
I have the same, you can do some things that dont attract attention, but change the car. My Lanos looks standard... almost from the outside, it just shocks people when you give it some boot.
I love the expressions on the GTI 16 Toyota drivers when they eat dust at the lights!!
Wolf in Sheeps clothing mate, it gets them un-awares!!
Keep up the ideas though, i think we all enjoyed the topic.
Do the Resistor in-line with the AIT. 9 cents, and it works well with the airbox removal mod !!. Get a hyundai (High and dry!!) O2 sensor slapped in, and reduce rolling resistance. 0 - 110 is what you are aiming to improve. After that, the big guns are king!

I'm still working on cooling the air under the hood. I can tell a slight difference on the highway. But yes I need to draw some cold air in under the hood. Only reason I did this is for water issues. If I hit a big puddle of water the filter will act as a bypass valve. because as soon as the fog light area fills with water it will sucks completly from under the hood.
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!
