I know exactly how you feel... This is my old car:

Since I've gotten my Lanos, it's just felt weird to not have it be dark inside my car. :(

Glad to see you got some new glass installed!

I'm actually going to try my hand at tinting my own windows in the next day or two. :D

Someone smashed the back glass out of my 1971 VW Squareback station wagon.
HOLY CRAP it was hard to find another window for it. Every glass shop I called said they could no longer order it because it was too old and not enough people ordered them.

I ended up pulling a back window out of a car in someone's field behind their barn. They wanted $25 for it.

Glad to see you got it replaced so quickly, but it sucks that someone broke it and that it cost so much to replace.

Well... It had problems with the braking system that kept pulsing no matter what I tried to fix to get it to stop... It developed a coolant leak and the thermostat was going out (strangely it's about a 2 hour+ job to replace the thermostat)... it was an automatic (I wanted a stick) and most importantly... I was getting screwed to the wall on the payments. Overall I was just tired of it...

I like my Woo better actually... it's more fun to drive and it's a stick. Not to mention, it's much easier to work on for me. Best of all... I don't owe a dime on it... my woo is completely paid for. Which means that I can spend some of the nearly $500 a month it was costing me between payments and insurrance on new parts/upgrades/etc on my Woo. :)

Sadly I no longer have that one, and the restoration work to make it show condition was almost complete.
All that was left was to get new window seals, paint and interior door panels.
The engine was polished silver, painted black and everything was high temperature clear coated, as was the transmission.

A woman ran a red light and hit the passanger side of my car while she was going 50mph in a 35 zone.
She totaled both cars and tried to say I ran the light and I was speeding. Whitnesses said I was telling the truth.

Since then, I bought a 1969 VW Squareback station wagon, which has the body style I prefer over the one I lost ... it needs an engine, paint, an complete interior and all new body rubber. The reason I bought it is it has no dents, almost no rust and is in excellent overall condition. It will be back on the road one day... I plan for it to be midnight blue, chrome wheels, bumpers, door handles, lowered suspension and silver mirror window tint. :D

wOo-TaNg ... post pics after you get it tinted again.
