Ok first off this is my sisters car and she lives in az, but it will be mine in a few months, but she is having a problem.
It is a 00 nubi 2 wagon with about 50k miles on it and the fuel gauge doesn't work. Could this just be a fuse or something to do with the actualy pump gauge inside the tank itself?
I am going to try to dig through the nubi service manual tonight. )
Well... I would start by checking the connection behind the gauge cluster. It is possible that the connector in the back has come loose and needs to be re-seated. If that isn't it, at least you've eliminated that.
I think that's probably the easiest place to start and you might save yourself a lot of trouble if it is.
I haven't looked into the fuel sensor stuff for my Woo yet (a Lanos 4-Door), but something about changing a fuel sensor doesn't leave me feeling comfortable.
I had a fuel gauge fault on my Lanos. I changed the sender unit in the tank and also the entire instrument panel from a breakers but it still didn't work. Eventually I found the problem. It was a lose connection on one of the multiplugs located by the fuse panel inside the car, behind the left hand side kick panel.
