ticking sound?

there is a ticking or clicking sound thats seems to be coming from my TB but i am not sure what it is. my car runs fine and there is no check engine light so im confused on what it could be? any thoughts?????

it does speed up with revs but after a certain rpm it stops

If it does it mostly when the engine is cold it sounds like the hydraulic tappets not getting enough oil at startup. When you rev the engine the oil flows more and eventually fill the lifters Try an engine flush and use the correct grade of good quality oil.

"Audacity" is right, it certainly sounds like Hyd Lifters to me.

how many miles on the engine and what oil do you use and how frequently do you change it?

i use 10W30 mobil 1....i just added the valvoline medic and it hasnt ticked yet...thanks

then most probably its the tappies... try an engine flush with your next oil change.
