My friend has solid mounts on his all motor Neon ( 180+ WHp) and although it is rough at idle the car is much quicker off the line.
I realize Audacityracing does this for a living (engine mounts, roll cages) but I don't think it would be half as bad as he thinks so long as the was supported right.
It's not like it's a monster Chev 502 making 800hp.... it's just a little 1.6L four banger
A solid front mount should be designed to allow the engine to pivot (roll front to back) or it would tear the mount off the inner fender wall.
The rear mount could be designed with a very stiff Urethane sheet between solid mount sections to help aborb the shock while keeping the engine from moving around.
Your engine response would be quicker..... but not so shocking as to destroy the mounts.
If you did this.... you would need a battery capable of taking shock for long lengths of time (such as an Optima battery)
Personally..... I wouldn't do it..... I'd go with custom made mounts using medium hard urethane..... or factory mounts filled with urethane filler.
