I wonder if I can run yellowdog on my G3 333GHz iMac.
I have been thinking of running OSX 10.4 on it, but I know it will be slow. I should get some newer Mac hardware.

It will run on my old G3, but have not bought the RAM or the OS.
I have the installation steps and have seen pictures of people's computers running it on one of the mac forums I was reading. It needs 512 meg of RAM to run some-what smoothly and a hard drive upgrade to at least 10 gig is reccomended.
If it had a PPC processor, I'd run BeOS on it, but Apple never released the hardware specs for the G processors so Be, Inc. could not release a working version.
Someone hacked a build of BeOS and have it running on a G3 iMac, but that is more work than I am willing to do.
