About my car breaking down

Well as most of u know my car broke down and last weekend i went to a scrap yard and this guy put the engine in for me, but he said engines buggered, but due to the engine that was put in was buggered and under warranty, the scrap yard had another Daewoo Lanos engine but X reg. Apparently there is a few wires n things different, is this ok etc? What do they do the wires that are different, my old engine was S reg 1998. Well anyway i should be drivin tomorrow :P

well you shouldn't need the wiring harness with it if it was just the engine. and if you do get it with one and its a bit different its probably for like airbags, power windows and locks, and stuff like that. nothing major where it wouldn't still work.
