um... like end of march i could have it to you
i'm not allowed to use the arm for 5 more weeks... then give me a week to build, a week to paint and prep, and a week to get it to you
it would actually be a little different than that... i want to get rid of the sheet metal and use the side tubes turned vetically with longer bolts

that would rock out loud
anyone else who wants one let me know. shaun has expressed an interest. these are really easy to make and everyone needs one.
once i figure out the front pattern easily for you guys i might make some of them for cheap.
FYI - this will NOT be a cheap aluminum bar that bends and flexes, this is .095" wall thickness 4130 alloy steel... the same steel nascar and dragster frames are made from. the hardware will be grade 8 bolts and the center section will be A01 tool steel threaded pin. this will be mig welded (no need to get crazy with teh tig machine) and painted with a color of your choice, or left raw for you to do whatever. if you want to attach a nitrous bottle, you can turn the bends upside down and have a nice place for that, or if you have HUGE speakers you turn it up... it's also so you don't loose trunk space.

If you could make one for a forenza i'd definitly want one.
*edit.. it might be worth your time to build one for a forenza. Im sure there is at least three other people that could throw down money asap. If its something your at all intrested in I can make a post on the forenza board to see how many people are intrested.

after some looking at parts... the design will cost about 15 dollars more for the rear-strut cars (nubira, leganza, lacetti). i would make a 3 bolt setup to match the top of the struts, it would be sturdier but a little more expensive
here is the end part for the strut type cars...
for a better feel of the design above....
www.daewootech.com/users/audacityracing/rsb.htm
use Internet explorer to look at that please. if you hate explorer and refuse to use it... download the zip and run teh exe. i certify it to be 100% virus free.

What kinda measurments exactly do you need? for both front and rear. I'll probably have another forenza owner get them cuz i got stuff to installAudacityracing wrote:if i had a car to get measurements and stoff from i would... from teh looks of it the fonts are harder to do on the suzukis cause they are inside the little cups... but i think i can do it.
Im sure alotta people would be intrested for the forenza since its a cheap easy bolt on mod that also looks good and helps the terribly soft handling. You should try putting one on ebay too. I made a post on the suzki forums to see how many people are intrested.

Measurements needed for all cars (except the lanos)
FRONT
- distance between bolts: in some cars they are NOT in a circle, just need a "top view" of them with dimensions, as well as bolt size and thread. (NOT REQUIRED ON THE SUZUKIS)
- distance between centers: measure from the center of one strut to the center of the next. DO NOT ACCOUNT FOR ANY VERTICAL CHANGE
- distance to clear obsticales: now measure vertical change
- clearance on sides: the distance from the CENTER of the strut to the closest object
SUZUKIS ONLY: measure the inside of the little cup taht the strut mount is in. then measure the height from the bottom of the nut to teh top of the rim
*** the suzukis havea funny shaped setup and i'm going to have to figure out how to do it, but i'm willing to do so if i get teh right measurements***
REAR
- determine if you have a single bolt or three... repeat step one for FRONT if you have three.
- measure the center distance (same as 2 above)
if anyone wants the custom bends like nick is getting, let me know. it does not change the price either way.

I was so excited after reading this i went out and figured out how to get to my rear struts... and in the process figured out how to get to my speakers =)
I'll get measurements for mine I'd really like to have one when i look into my performance stuff this way i can help you make some money, and have it ready when i have some lowering springs and better struts...
