wow and i thought mine was short
Do you find it hard to change gears? As in, having to reach so far down? Stuff like that?
Does it really make much difference having it that short?
Eitherway, it looks pretty tough

It's not hard to change gears at all. Overall, I love what I did to it. I don't have to reach too far down (maybe only for 5th gear) but I'm so used to it, that I don't even notice. The difference is definately there.Mark K wrote:wow and i thought mine was short

mine is about as low as that and i still have the reverse lock out.AcingTeam wrote:lol I was just going to contribute to this thread. Well, I cut off 4 inches (about 10 cm) from the shifter. Obviously had to lose the reverse lock out mechanism. And NEVER (since the mod) have I confused 1st with reverse. You can EASILY distinguish which gear's which. Trust me.... and probably Nick will add something here to, since he doesn't have reverse lock out either and never had a problem.
So, definately go for it.
Here is my pic:
what i did is cut the metal a few inches, and the top of the pull up tab right where it starts getting fat. fid the max pull up to enter reverse and lock the knob in to position. remind me to post pics later if intersted.
got drift?
