grounding amp;where? *audio buzzing* help

You pass the rca cable near to the power cable?. The power cable tranfer the engine noise to the rca cable. Separe it. I use to ground my power amplifier to the rear seat belts. in the back part near the power amplifier. The ground cable need to be short.

All the wires are seperated and the noise didnt change. The ground cable is only about a foot long.

your stereo wire from the amp and your rcas need to be ran on either side of the car to eliminate radio noise.

Okay guess... i need help. I've spent the last hour cleaning it up hardcore style. This amp is probably the cleanest install ive ever seen now. Buzzing is a tiny bit more quiet and different sounding. I cut several feet off extra wire away and checked all the wires to make sure they're in perfect shape. The ground spot is perfectly clear of paint and grease and even has a high quality teriminal on it. I changed the RCA wires out for new ones and changed the ground wire for the third time. I had NO wires within 4 inches of each other and it didnt help so I ran the power and REM wire on one side of the car and the speaker and RCA wires on the other side of the car. Then the ground wire just kinda come up the middle. I've changed to different spark plug wires even and that didnt make a difference. I added a ground wire to the back of the H/U... changed the buzzing sound but its just as loud as it was. I've tried a couple different amps in place of the one I have now and that didnt make any difference. I've checked to make sure every wire is wired properly and everythings very clean.


The ONLY idea I have left is maybe its something to do with the H/U? I mean.. its a couple years old and has been abused a little. Although there was NO buzzing before I installed an amp onto my componets.... maybe the amp just amplified it enough to hear it? help me please!

This is what I did.

I also have Logic component on the front and Logic speakers at the back and I ran them on the head unit plus I have 4 tweeters in the front and I hear no buzzing at all.

And my subwoofers wired to my amp. (mono-block).

No buzzing!!!

Or you can use a noise filter this hepls a liitle too.

I would try an inline power filter on the head unit, because it sounds to me like you have addressed everything else.

You said NOISE filter, which usually refers to ground loop isolator that usually sits on the RCA line, not the power line. A POWER filter filters out and alternator noise on the POWER line of the HU.
