well i set the amp at stereo (4 ohms), it hasent cut out yet, not as loud butit still sounds good. thanks for all your help guys

by the sounds of things you amp is clipping, i.e drawing more power then your power cable can handle. How big is your power cable (guage wise)? I had the same problem with my system when i was running an 8 guage cable so i put in a 4 guage and it fixed everything.

4 guage to the dis. block. then two 8 guage going to the 700s (thats what its set up for) and a 8 guage on the 500x, but its working good now, i want to get four 10's to replace my pair of 12's but i cant afford it :x

I'm glad I don't have to worry about my power cables being to thin. :)

0ga from the battery to the distro block in the back, then 4ga from the disto block to the amps and 4ga ground cables.

my amps are made to except 8 gauge ground and power, the 500x has one power and one ground, the 700s used two power and two ground. on a plus side my lights dont dim as much!

350amp ANL blade fuse in the digital volt display/fuse holder under the hood by the battery and a 250amp ANL blade fuse next to the distro block in the trunk. I like to have a fuse at each end of the main power line for extra safety. If something comes loose, that 0GA could weld itself to the body almost instantly and make the battery expolde; which would be no fun at all.

damn i thought my 150 amp anl was big. i had a 100 amp maxi fuse but it got so hot that the plastic was meltng away so i got the 150 to relace it, and no more problems

actually i redid all the system wires, fresh grounds, new rca's, new speaker wire. lights dont dim nearly as bad now. i have some 0 guage welding cable im gonna make new batery grounds with soon

lol looks like my car for the past 6 months... until yesterday, now i got the rear incloser in..


i need to do some sound deadening one of these days.. i have a compressor in the back that rattles the hell out of everything

are those the old wires or the new ones??

actually the same power wire is still being used (its still good),but all others are new. the only bad part is my rca's are too long so i have them bunched up under the back seat. but its all ren correctly now, just sucks about the mess under the back seat.

good shit, i was gonna use some flexable foam sheets from home depot and liquid nail it to the instead of the drunk, but if i can get the correct stiff at a reasonable price ill do that.
