FK Automotive parts

Post by PrecisionBoost »

I just got my FK Automotive dealer catalog and pricelist so I thought I'd let everyone check out this european company....

www.fk-automotive.com

I suggest clicking on the ENGLISH flag instead of the north american since the north american site is still under construction so you can't see many of the parts.

The company is based out of Germany but they have major offices in France,England,Spain,Netherlands,Belgium,Norway,Sweden,Italy and most recently North America (Canada,USA)

If anyone wants to see MSRP in US dollars you can let me know what your interested in and I will look it up for you.

My email is Lanosmfg@shaw.ca

What is slow?

If your talking about the FK site you must have something wrong with your T1.... I'm running about 4mbps and it loads the first page in about 1 second and after entering the english side it loads all components in about 3-4 seconds.

I've been on there about 40 times and never experienced a slow download.

It loads almost instantly here at home on my cable modem and looks about the same load time on the OC192 at work.
Maybe your ISP had a bottleneck or the network traffic load balancers weren't functioning properly (if your network has load balancers).

Maybe it was being evil and just didn't feel like letting you see that site. :D

oh no, I figured it out, I was on a VPN at the time and it slowed it down quite a bit. I'm at home now on my cable connection and it's all good. Sorry for the alarm.

When looking for parts you should be checking out the Opel Kadette E stuff since that is what the Lanos platform/suspension/powertrain is based upon.

i am confused now...

Post by damian007vk »

i am kinda confused....now, I thought the Lanos was based on the OPEL/HOLDEN/Vauxhall ASTRA.???? Could someone do like a sticky post with exactly which part from which european car is intechangeable with the lanos from the suspension and brakes to the drivetrain....that would be the best thing anyone could do at the moment to clear up the confusion and to have as a source of reference for the future....Cause according to that site then we have coilovers for the Lanos!! and also if you check the koni shocks for the kadett E, the part number for the front matches, but the part number for the rear does not match the part number for the Lanos on the Koni website.......

If you pick a 1991 Astra/Kadette/LeMans you will find them the same as the Lanos

Noticed at the top it was said that the Lanos matched the Opel Kadette, I was wondering if there were any cases of the nubira matching anything...
