'94 or '95. Even in '96 was that engines in calibras... astra g turbo have z20let. They use same engine block, but the head is little different, because z20 is ecotec engine. Also z20let have 2 lambda sondas and higher eco standards, and less power...

c20let can go up to 450hp on crank...
http://www.VMAX.de ...... off the shelf 740hp C20LET

Z20LET also listed there..... the Z20LET is the same block/head as the Daewoo Engines.

The Daewoo Engines have been pushed up into the 300+ hp range without a problem.... but there is limited knowledge as to their breaking point.

I suspect the 6 bolt Z20LET / Daewoo crankshaft is not as strong as the 8 Bolt C20LET crankshaft.... but the factory C20LET crank is questionable after 375hp anyways.

To be completely honest I'm quite happy leaving it at 150kw, no pushing the engine, just let it be how it was meant to be stock.

150 is more than enough for a car under 1 tonne.

As puerto_rico_nubira has said... Still, noone's said how much the stock psi is... or bar... or whatever. I think 16psi is 1 bar?

EDIT::

I want one.

EDIT EDIT::

THIS IS WHAT I WANT. Note that I'm a photoshop cheater.

I would imagine you have a U18SED, T18SED or C18SED ( U=ULEV emissions T= TLEV emissions C= Minimal emissions )

Yes.... the C20LET would bolt into your Optra and fit your transmission but it's not a direct swap as there are some differences in engine mounts.

A Z20LET swap might be a better idea since it is the same basic design as your 1.8L (same cylinder head and block).

Either one would require quite a bit of rewiring to make them work.... so it all comes down to your project budget.

moin,

the LET-block has an oil channel, that the XE not has. if you will drive the let in a stock version, use the XE intake cam. it will bring a little bit more power at high rmp...

All the naturally aspirated 2.0L engines have that plug.... but it's a wierd metric size... Tom@360Dynamics made a few on my lathe last month.

I know this is an old thread but what is LSD I have seen that posted in a few topics when refiering to turboing woos??
mister_g wrote:Around 6s do 60mph, if you get goooood tires... That engine will smoke tires in first 3 gears...
But you can get to 13s in 1/4 of a mile...

It's imposible to transfer that kind of power to FWD without LSD...

limited slip diffs keep both wheels spinning... so that you don't have all the torque put on teh wheel that spins freely when you go through a corner.

in other words... you come out of corners faster
