Tranny fluid in a Lanos

Does anybody know where the tranny fluid reservoir located in a Lanos. It's too cold to walk outside and see.... can anybody supply a picture?

Well, I was told that the grinding in 3rd gear could be because of the low transmission fluid... so I guess, yes. Just want to see where it's at.

you gotta jack the car up

there isn't a way to see if you have enough either.... it's you do or you don't. you just add fluid until it pours out the side of the tranny and then you add the plug back...

that's from the repair manual

pretty sure it's driver's side next to the driveshaft exit

no kenny... the plug is facing the passenger side (or facing the engine to avoid confusion with RHD cars), i remeber this clearly when i flushed the ATF from m y manual tranny and added tranny fluid instead.

MMamdouh is correct.

A side note, it is hard to find SAE80 gearlube now. Best bet will be a GL4 rated 75W80. GMDAT cars can use 75W90 as well but all the manuals state that an SAE80 is preferred over an SAE90.

As long it is GL4 rated, it is OK.

... GL5 rated... I'll have to take that back to the store and exchange it...
