stiill cant get my shift knob off
i got it off a little but can i justcut it off will it damage n e thing other than the knob i dont care about the stock knob
just cut it.

i cut my plastic piece off as close to teh shaft as i could, then used my bench sander to run it down to the knurled metal underneath. that also worked out well cause it made the spring stay on by itself and made a wedge for the knob to sit on.

finally
i just cut the damn thing off but then i was faced with another problem my know isnt a knob thatll fit cuz of that reverse thing so i cut the reverse thing so it is a little lower and i am drilling the cap to my knob a little so it fits over the reverse thing and it came out great
