shiftknob help please

well the only way is to take it off and put the knob under hot water (100 degrees at least) and leave it there for about 15 minutes. there is like glue or something that holds it in and the heat will loosen it up. sorry that you happened to ask about this at a bad time but since the album section is down some pics on here aren't working b/c they were uploaded from there. if you can be a bit patient you'll get the help you need. i'm at work right now or i'd take some pics for ya now but can't.

To remove the shifter it's soooo easy. If you have taken the boot off.... you will see the CLIP that holds the shifter in place (it's all the way on the bottom) How can you not see it, I dont know
Once you pop the clip off, just remove the shifter... it's the easiest replacement ever.
So....
1. Take the boot off
2. Unclip the clip
3. Take out the shifter
Then boil it, and remove the shift knob.
