Oil pres guage
Hi guys,
Today I installed an oil press gauge in my car, but the only wire I couldn't put was the wire that goes to the oil press sender.
So were is it located?
I research the web for it and came accros that it's under the sparkplug wires black thing (dunno what you call it) but it's got 2 wires going to it.
But how can I put the oil press sender that came with the oil press gauge?
(Ractive oil press gauge)
Thanx in advance.

AFAIK our daewoos don't have an "oil pressure" sending unit only a "warning unit" that triggers the oil led on the dash if the pressure drops too low... this one is located on the bottom of the block near the crank position sensor.
given that, you have two options:
1- remove the warning unit and install your oil pressure unit in its place and you will lose the oil pressure Led.
2- install the oil pressure unit in one of the blocked oil passages on the oil pump... not sure of the location but it will be on the pump's body and blocked by a hex bolt.

In some Opels, the oil warning light is wiried together with the fuel pump...As a result, when you oil pressure drops below certain level (I believe its 7psi), it will kill the fuel too. You may have to ground the single wire coming from the factory sensor.
If you send me thread-size of your new oil pressure sender, I can make you an adaptor to fit into the oil pump.
