The Lanos Pot type may be different than the Nubira/Leganza pot type flywheel.....

The flat ones are the same and are interchangeable..... so you can use the flat flywheel on the 1.6L/2.0L/2.2L and he has clutches for them.

He also has clutches for the Nubira/Forneza/Leganza pot type flywheels for those who want to go with the stock flywheel

Tom needs to verify the dimensions of the stock Pot type Lanos flywheel so that he can verify that the Nubira/Leganza/Forenza flywheels are the same.

They may have different part numbers in some cases..... but that doesn't necissarily mean that the clutches are totally different.

Hello,

I know its long over due but I?ve found the flywheel and retrieved the dimensions from a very burnt n rusty flywheel. I don?t why I kept it because it weights a ton. The reason I had the flywheel replaced is because at 80mph, the clutch slipped, burnt out, and at such a heat the ring-gear popped off the flywheel. The revs went through the roof and I had no drive to the car what so-ever.
Anyways I?ve managed to get these figures...:

1) Width of flywheel - 10mm.
2) Width (of which the ring-gear goes on) - 10mm.
3) Width of ring-gear (from height of tooth to edge) - 12mm.
4) Ring-Gear ? 135 teeth.
5) Theres 6 bolts on the inner section.
6) Theres 6 bolts on the outer section.
7) Outer bolts are 23mm from edge up to ring-gear.
8) Widths ? Centre Gap is 40mm wide.

Hope they are of any help to you people.
Have a good new year
Andy

We don't have the 1.4L here in North America.... so I'm not sure which type of flywheel you have.... is the flywheel completely flat or are the outer bolt holes contained in raise nodules ( roughly 20mm to 25mm in width) ?

A picture would really help

I think it only came as a 1.4L SOHC in the Lanos.... I think the 1.4L DOHC only came in the later Daewoo cars like the Kalos

Basicly there are two types of flywheels that fit the 1.6L, 2.0L, 2.2L Opel/Holden/Daewoo engines.

One is completely flat and one is where the section where the bolts attach are raised up (pot style)

The flat ones are way lighter than the ones with the raised bolt section and Tom was trying to get flywheel dimesions and pictures for the North American Lanos to see if the two models of pressure plate he can get will fit.

I'm pretty sure they will fit the 1.6L DOHC engine.... but as of yet nobody from the USA or Canada has taken the time to get some pictures and dimensions of their stock flywheel.

Another reason for these questions is that there are lightened steel flywheels available and ultra light Aluminum/steel hybrid flywheels for these engines.

So..... until a USA or Canadian Lanos owner takes a picture of their flywheel and gets some dimensions we won't know for sure about the fitment.

Until Tom is 100% convinced about fitment..... he probably won't import anything for the 1.6L ( I allready have stuff coming for my 2.0L )
