I gave up. It said it was set, my pc smooched the pooch a few hours later so its most likely why.

why don't you upload the avatar to the album section and link it from their??

afterwards put the link in your avatar field rather than a new post and it will work... i did that till i switched to a GIF avatar and that is not allowed here, in this case you will have to do the hosting at some other site.
