Question about tune-ups...

Post by 04aveohb »

I know that the oil should be changed every 3,000 miles...im at 19,000 right now and I have changed it every 3k miles, or before. Is there anything I need to do for the upcoming 20k miles...? Or anything I have missed yet?

change plugs and fuel filter and you're good to go...

do a THOUROUGH checking of your timing belt. you are entering the forbidden zone where they tend to wear out fast and break without warning (30-50k)

go to autozone or advance... they can tell you precisely which ones, or you can buy a set of NGK plugs off ebay for the lanos for pretty cheap.

you should get plugs for less than 25 dollars for high-end ones and less than 10 for oem replacement

try to throw in a TB and intake cleaning job as well as injector cleaner product.

and as Auda said spark plugs are cheap so just get new ones and check/replace your air filter as well.

ive used that fuel cleaner about every 5k miles, and octane booster every now and then. I am gonna run to autozone today and get new spark plugs, and hopefully a K&N filter...maybe some silverstars if I have any money leftover...thanks guys!

I replaced the filter, and looked at the plugs, they aveo is said to come with NGK V power..and they looked fine, no corroding or anything...so imma leave them for a little while, might get some iridiums...
