Nubira Header Project

Post by mocpac »

El Junito and I will start a new nubira header 4 - 2 -1 project. Why a project? Is a convertion from a tibutron header to a nubira header. Why, because we can... lol... no be cause we verify.

The header is already on its way to PR.

This is the manifold gasket from nubira and from tiburon. Any how. We have to change the mounting plate. That's the only mayor mod, we gess. The oper hole for screws get in place but the lower hole not even near.

http://www.daewootech.com/forum/album_p ... ic_id=1536

We only have one doub. Hope some one here can answer it

Why the nubira have that division in the exhaust holes? Compare with the tibuton, the block have just one exit per piston the nubi have 2. The smalles exit (holes) any one know the reason for them?

Probably we just cut the plate from my manifold and put it in the tiburon header... But maybe we will make a new one with the hole more like the tiburon gasket. Jus one ? or less of those small hole get cover. But the single entire hole is bigguer. I have to put a pic of one over the other to give you the complete idea.

Any opinion about it?

***sorry for the english***

the small holes in the gasket and in the block are cover in the oem manifold. Aparently they retur gases to the EGR. But the nubira, lanos and leganza, already have that in the 4th hole. Because of the the 4th hole have that space to de side.

So aparently I will no have any kind of problem....

if any one is interested?

the channels where the exhaust flow are two small channels that merge into one big one. it so happens that the exhaust side is divided until the manifold. no harm in using the tibby gasket for your project.
