Here is the Astra MKII ( aka Lanos ) that ran 10.929

Keep in mind that this is a naturally aspirated engine!!!!

No turbo on this beast.

If this car can break into the 10's with a naturally aspirated engine just imagine what it can do with a huge turbo forcing air into it. :twisted:

Travis, our friend who owns Apex Modified ran 11.07 in his SRT-4 with the engine de-tuned by nearly 40whp.

He was trying to keep the 1/4 mile time slow enough that they wouldn't throw him off the track.....but they told him that he couldn't come back until he had a full roll cage installed anyways.

With that extra power he could have moved into the 10's with his car.

I was going through the vids..... here is that Corsa/Nova Turbo that Roadrunner 16V posted.

The speedometer is in Km/h.....if you guess that a car in the mid 11's will have a trap speed of around 110mph that would be about 180km/h

If you use the video to count the time from 0-180km/h it's around 11 seconds.

So.... I'd guess this turbo Corsa/Nova does the 1/4 mile in the mid to high 10's or low 11's ( just a guess )

2 x 370 HP @ 6000 RPM
2 x 530 Nm @ 4000 RPM
2 x C20LET from Vauxhall/Opel Calibra Turbo
3 x Fuelpumps
2 x water-cooled Intercooler
