i am considreing a tach cluster swap on my car... couldn't find it brand new but a used one will cost 275 LE (48.25 USD) and if i traded in mine it will be about half that amount... got to try it on the car first to make sure it works with no socket mods. though.
i live in regonial nsw which has 1 car wreckers and they dont have any daewoos ill have to make a trip to sydney during the xmas break which is 4 hour drive, ill go to the wreckers that have daewoo lanos if i do find anything ill keep you posted on any parts yous might need

Well if you did that, you would have done work for nothing. It would read out correctly in KPH too, as the kilometer scale is spaced so that it works with the mph core.
I'm pretty sure the only way you can change to read 220 mph would be to flash the ECU.
swap your stock core and then just use the USDM speedo paper along with your new dash
you could pick up a set of white ones from daewootech.net (if chris would ever answer)
what i'm saying is though... where do those gauges come from? his originals had mph as the primary unit and he had a tach... that is the answer to our problems!
buy the guage pod from tom... and then scan the oem gauges (in the pod), use photoshop to extend the mph to the outside and delete the kph... then print the white faces
