I am coresponding with a Australian company that has a running 2.0L C20LET 16V Turbo engine and F28 6spd 4X4 transmission in stock just outside Melbourne ( not too far from Jetspeed's Melbourne office)
He wanted me to tell him what I'm willing to pay but I asked him to give me the best quote he could come up with because I have no idea what car parts are worth down there in Australia
Hmmm..... I wonder if he takes VISA
I'm a little "cash" poor at the moment but it sure would be nice to have a complete C20LET and F28
If I can't afford it is there anyone else who is interested???
I've talked to him about 8 or 9 times and he won't give me a price on the engine or tranny.
Finally I made up some numbers in the $1250 range just to see if he'd come back with some kind of number and he just said "MAYBE GOOD LUCK CHEERS DANNY"
I'm not sure but I think that's Australian for "quit waisting my time and get lost "
I couldn't even get a donor vehicle mileage off him..... it could be a very new car or it could have been very old....who knows.
Needless to say I've given up trying to get him to tell me what he wants for the parts....he must have been out in the Australian sun too long and it fried his brain..... oh well I guess I'll try someone else.
