examples are...

~ SRI or CAI from honda/integra swap

those don't amount to huge power gains... but help out a lot!
hood spacers?

hoodspacers lift the hood at the hinges buy a few centimeters so hot air blows out the back instead of staying in your engine bay.

What about me? Now I feel left out

Bonjour isasrt4, welcome to the forum.

Tom (360 Dynamics) and I are good friends of the owner of APEX Modified here in Edmonton.

Our friend is known as a Neon specialist but his shop works on all types of vehicles.

Here is the Apex website... http://www.apexmodified.ca/

His SRT4 is one of the quickest fwd vehicles in Edmonton.

Tom specializes in Daewoo vehicles which use Opel/Vauxhall/Holden components.

His website is http://www.360dynamics.ca

First off we need to determine which engine you have.... 1.5L SOHC found in the plain Lanos Hatchback or the 1.6L DOHC found in the sport hatchback.

If you are interested in spending some money on your Lanos it could quite easily be faster than your SRT4 if you went with a Turbo 2.0L swap.

It's a real big styling thing in the grassroots drift scene, lots of hachis, s13's 14's do it.

I did it on my 82 TE72 spaced about 30mm.

Bonjour isasrt4 indeed!!

OK, you have to decide if you want to build a Lanos or the SRT-4. Myself I'd build Lanos to be quicker :) But also for SRT-4 we can get you Mopar Performance Stage 1-3, with or without toys (intercooler sprayer, high-octane gas switch), strut braces, BOV spacer, wastegate actuators, DC Sports braces, TEIN coil-over suspension....list is pretty much endless... For a quick 360hp and 420lbs of torque on customer's SRT-4, we put CAI, stronger motor mounts, new 02 housing (mandrel), Forge Motorsports actuator, Mopar Stage 1 and 100shot of NOS (ZEX wet kit). But for same money you can have Lanos faster than SRT-4, running 2.0 16V Turbo

My short term goal is 300hp out of my 2.0L in my Chevy Optra 5 (better known as a Daewoo Lacetti )

I'm sure Tom@360Dynamics will end up making at least 302 horsepower in his 2.0L 16V Turbo Astra MKII because he won't be happy until he beats me :P :P

My long term engine project is 700hp+ out of a 2.2L (modified to 2.4L ) Daewoo Leganza engine.....This engine will eventually find it's way into a Lanos as a pure drag racing car......which will make my car the fastest Lanos on the planet....and perhaps the fastest Daewoo ever made.

I also own an older 1990 Pontiac Lemans (aka Opel Astra MKII, Vauxhall Kadett E, Daewoo Nexia ) with an 2.0L 8V turbo engine..... I just have to bring it up from Victoria one of these days... Tom an I are going to do some ice racing :D :D :D

These older Opel Astra MKII based vehicles are the platform from which your Lanos is designed from.

So.... Opel aftermarket performance parts will fit your suspension, engine, transmission, brakes and much more.

I might be coming down to Montreal and Toronto sometime in the next month or two on business....... perhaps I can meet up with you and the rest of the Daewoo owners from Quebec and Ontario..... it would be fun to set up an eastern Canadian Daewoo Meeting.

The weather won't be great but it would be intersting to meet everyone.
