it may have something to do with economies of scale and or dis economies of scale, i.e if something becomes cheaper to produce everytime more is made it is an economy of scale, whereas if something beccomes more expensive with every additional item made it is a diseconomy of scale.
Now who says you cant learn anything from the public school system???
