the 10.2mm triple core cost up to 4 times less than the 8mm magcorBosnianLanos wrote:Ok. quite simply, anything over 8.5 mm does nothing. The 10.0-10.2 mm wires do not conduct any more electricity or lower resistance, they simply have thicker plastic jackets so that in racing conditions, the plastic won't melt. Since your Daewoo will never see any hardcore race environments, you are throwing away money to extra plastic.
replacing the spark plug wires...

Because the 10.2 Triple core wires are 4x POS compared to the Magnecor wires. Magnecor is a well established company that uses high quality wires and excellent build quality. Not to mention that they offer a lifetime warranty on the wires if anything ever goes wrong.
Why don't you go and buy the triple cores, cut of the leads, buy new stock leads, go about fitting the leads and wires together, and see if it is still 4x worth it. You'll probabally realize that you f*cked up too late and enjoy seeing a nice spark of high voltage electricity fly from the boots into your engine block. Or maybe better yet into your hand, maybe through the shock you'll realize that your not the smartest motherf*cker on this forum.

because the evo cost 4x less than some lambo which would mean the evo would be 4x more POS in ur wordsBosnianLanos wrote:It won't be faster, but it will sure as hell be of higher quality, which is my point in the first place.
And again I don't see the comparison between an Evolution, and some retarded chop job you plan to do on a set of plug wires.

please shut up and go botehr a forum who needs a village idiot... we were fine without you.
if you solder leads on you'll make far worse power degradation than if you run spiral wound leads.
you are making a moot point. there will really be no performance increase over 8mm... and by choosing an off brand wire you are toying with danger. magnacore is not the benz of wires... it is the lotus. not teh MOST expensive, but not the least, point being that for the money... you get one hell of a setup.
i encourage you to buy the big-leads and then try to do the swap to the stock boots... oh btw... more resistance there too. good luck smart-alec
