i have stainless steel valves in my woo now. it will take the heat alot better. the size are stock. the woo valves scears me with hi boost. too much heat might make it break off at the joining of the incornel and steel metal writing off your engine.

put on racing valves and probably some valve job for the F1 sound

The F1 racing sound is due to the fact that they are running at incredibly high RPM....with no muffler....on a highly tuned high horspower engine....... the sound has nothing to do with the valves or grind angles.

They use Titanium most of the time..... to decrease weight and increase the RPM levels.

bs because on need for speed when u upgrade the engine the sounds different

there is a HUGE difference in a 3L v-10 or v-12 and a 2L inline 4 cylinder, plus we don't have pnuematic valves, open headers, or itb's, plus they rev up to 18,000... we don't go to half that. hahaha... that's some funny stuff

if you want to sound like an f-1 car... use a motorcycle engine @ 14,000 rpms

rx8 or mx5 or both has the same engine as the F1s but on NFS the car doesnt rev more it just sounds better... r u sure that racing valve or 3 angle job on the valve cylinder wont make it sound better? have u heard the difference in real life or r u pulling stuff out of ur ass

neither the rx-8 nor the mx-5 have f1 engines...

the rx-8 has a ROTARY engine... whch can be found on the formula mazda cars... if you confuse an f-1 with a formula mazda... you need glasses.

the mx-5 is the miata... i'm not thinking that's packing 900 hp... ever.

the valve job you're tlaking about won't change a dang thing about sound. the exhaust on a car is what produces the sound you hear. don't you find it strange that racing engines from corvettes and mustangs don't sound that high pitched and that loud? it's because they don't rev as high... it has nothing to do with valves.

for your general information... my woo is packing a full race head setup... port, polish, compression change, tappet changes (mechanical), as well as racing valves. i'm waiting on cams now. when it's all said and done, i'm hoping to rev the woo to 10,000. my ansys run said it'll make it to 12 before failure, but there is no need to go that high.

i kinda think you kust like to go around picking on people and trying to make others mad... which makes you come across as really un-intelligent. everyone knows that need for speed is a video game. the comparison can't even be drawn to real life. even in gt4 or forza, the relationship to real life is non-existent

the muffler doesnt do jack sht to the engine music... putting on some flowmaster on some civic vs some muscle car doesnt mean the cars would sound the same... dumb ass

Maybe if you realized that a Civic packs a 1.6L I4 and a Muscle Car packs a 5.0L+ V8, you wouldn't have made that comment. I think the extra 4 CYLINDERS may have had something to do with the sound change. Why do you assume that the noise that is made by the valves affects engine sound. Maybe in a small percentage, but I think that the sound of large amounts of fuel EXPLODING in 8 cylinders would have a litte more to do with it.

do you know what a formula one engine looks like? do you know they are 3.0L (yeah... toughly twice the size of a lanos engine), V-10 (yes, 10 cylinders), revving to 20,000 rpm (yes, 3 times that of the woo)...

the sound of an engine is determined by the exhaust, be it short, long, straight, bent, parrallel, equilized, etc. i never said the muffler is what makes and engine sound the way it does. you're right, strapping a flowmaster on a civic doesn't make it sound like a muscle car, but have you ever heard a bike before? sport bikes have the same valve setup as the daewoo but produce a very similar sound to a forumla one car... why is this? because the rev to 14,000+. you need to go read www.howstuffworks.com 's entire engine section... you might learn a thing before you come in here and open your mouth and let more of that stupid slip out.
