turn signal/electric help

So i changed all four of my turn signals to blue LEDs.. love em.. look great and are much brighter. When i put the rear ones in the blinker started going all hyper all me and blinks really fast. Not a problem i dont mind that. But after a couples days now all of a sudden when i have my driving lights on i cant use my turn signals. And on the dash is shows the turns signals on... you know when your signals on the arrow on yuour dash blinks.. well mine stay on and the blinkers dont work. If i put the stock bulbs in the back they work again.

What the hell do i do besides put the stock ones back in? My guess for the hyper blinker is LEDs take less energy so the car thinks the bulbs burned out and gives me hyper blinker as a safty thing.

Good guess.
These guys have both a load resistor kit and electronic flashers. Probably either would solve the problem. Haven't done it yet but makes sense.

Which would be the cheaper method and easyier? and how do you install it? I need to get it locally

The cheaper method would be the digital flasher if they have one for your car.

A load resistor is needed for each signal bulb, they go for around $5 each, the flasher unit is around $13. There might be other solutions but this seems reasonable to me.

i will real quick before i take em out. I got pulled over for them last night. I guess your not allowed to have law enforcment colors on a car. Cop was really nice and just explained it and told me to change it when i get a chance. Ive heard of this but see blue or red neons almost daily and they never get pulled over that ive seen so i didnt think it was true

Yeah, laws like that are different in some states. In TX you can have red led windsheild nozzles as long as they don't flash. Strange. I thought red and blue ricer lights were forbidden flashing or not. Check your state's laws on stuff like that. Wouldn't want you to get in any more trouble after that 120+ MPH ticket!

Last time i got pulled over in that town i was illegally searched... glad that didnt happen this time as i had 4litres of alcohol in my trunk.

I have blue and red strobes conveniently hidden behind my grille. But thats simply for a fear factor. It is totally illegal, so I'm hoping cops don't see.

well got pulled over AGAIN.. who gets pulled over twice in 12 freakin hours. This time i got two tickets.. one for the blue lights and one of my headlights recently went out. grr.

So i was at a red light.. some cocky mustange revs his engine, slightly peels out, and is WOT untill bout 60-65mph in a 45... the cops rush after him (two of them) and they get right behind him.. which is infront of me.. see my blue lights.. slow down and pull me over.

fucking common! this guys endangering people (might i add he sucked at driving) and they freakin pull me over for blue lights.

Got the stock bulbs in and they were working fine.. then they all went to hyperblinkers one side at a time.. and now the front blinkers dont even work. grrr

Wow. You got some bad bacon over there in AZ. I suggest keeping the Woo off the road until you are street legal. Sorry if that sounds parent-ish.

Nope he wasnt..yet TWO cops pulled me over..one could have gone after him
