actually they r the real powe makers... read how it works you dumb assAudacityracing wrote:i really don't think they work. they would be a far more popular upgrade if they were really the power makers they sell them as. the truth is, your coil is what drives the spark... so no capacitor in the plug is going to make "more power"
do the msd upgrade and you won't have a problem

Why do you have to be such an ass? Did you forget to take your medication today or what? We try to help you here. Kenny even suggested the MSD ignition. Its not like he said your idea is the dumbest shit ever? Its ok but actually the MSD setup would be better since it upgrades all the components on the ignition.

wow... that's twice you've called someone a dumbass... and twice it comes back onto you...
again, the power is created BY THE COIL OF THE CAR. i don't care what that website says, the electrical power comes from the coil. read this... http://www.dragbike.com/news/features/p ... cthits.htm
they say it added 3hp to the bike they tested... but read further...
OUR CONCLUSIONS...
product_directhits3.jpg (13469 bytes)If you have a race bike... these units probably will not help you out - because your MSD or Dynatek ignition already has enough power to supply the beans.
HOWEVER, if you've got a street warrior that you are trying to get every ounce of performance out of, or an older bike which does not run quite as good as it use to... DirectHits amplifiers will help you find some horsepower!
if you are hurting for 3-6 hp... do something useful and don't spend the money on that, spend the money on the msd system which has a mileage rating of well over 100,000! the direct hits are rated for less than 20,000 miles... that means new plugs and wires that soon, and at 150 bucks for a set of spark plugs... that's ridiculous!!!!!!
i didn't bad mouth them, i said i didn't think that a capacitor would make that big of a difference... and low and behold, i was right. if you look at the long term usage of direct hits, it is harmful to the battery charging system... where does that "800 amps" go when it discharges? back into the alternator/battery. sounds solid to me! NOT!
don't go picking fights you can't even begin to win
if you read how they conducted some of their test they gained 10 hp on a single run after tuning an engine. truthfuly if they ran that engine 2 more times after tuning and after the new plugs the lines would be real close.
next thing is how to create a larger spark from what already being delivered, so why not remove the resistor in the plug? more sparkplugs you use now have a about a 5k ohm reistor in them (i'm looking at a denso box right now) so if their plugs are just resistorless plugs and that damn thing around it is just a fancy shild to try and reduce the EMF from it then chances are it could in theroy distroy your electric system.
power isnt just the coil, you have to worry about power loss from other areas. such as wires a set of NGK wires have WAY lower resitance than the cheap wires you can pick up at auto zone (i tested them) also the type of plug you use. i have used bosch +4 platinum and i hate them, i'm now using dual ground denso platinum and they have more than prove their worth to me. someone tested the other spark plugs... he posted that the bosch 4+ made the engine sound much more beefy... the bosch 4+ r on my car since the 1st daychronoti wrote:if you read how they conducted some of their test they gained 10 hp on a single run after tuning an engine. truthfuly if they ran that engine 2 more times after tuning and after the new plugs the lines would be real close.

bosch platinum 4s do suck. i used them and after about three months i checked them and they were burnt to a crisp. I now use NGK laser platinums and I get way better performance. Nothing against Bosch because I know they are good, just not on Daewoos... IMO. I reccommend NGK or Denso on our cars. I have heard only bad about the Bosch's except from you and a few others.

I have NGK. Denso are supposedly even better. I don't have the top of the line Iridiums but the class just under that. Laser Platinums. I would have gotten Iridiums butthey were temporarily out.
