D-series header on Lanos

Has anyone tried using a d-series honda header on a 1.6 lanos? i know woohoo used the turbo mani but has anyone tried using just a regular header? and does anyone know if i could use all the 02 sensors from the lanos on the honda header?

you could use the shorty section... but you'd have to make your own down-pipe... otherwise you'll hit the oil pan :roll:

I tryed it. The flange is too different. The ports don't line up. but the down pipe lines up perfect on the Aveo
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!

Woohoo has a d16 turbo manifold on his A16...

im with Audacityracing on this one.

doesn't the aveo hard have squareish exhaust ports?

if the turbo manifold fits on woohoo's lanos why wouldnt the n/a header fit on the lanos too?

what do you mean port match? do you mean i have to drill the holes for the bolts bigger.

no no, place the gasket on the head... spray a thin layer of paint over it... this shows the excess material that's in the way... then you do the same to the header... then take a dremel or grinder and remove the painted sections.


look in the ARTICLES OF INTEREST post in general for a thing on it in detail :D
