how come my quarters slow?

my 1st one was 17.9 pwr off or so my 2nd was 18.1 because of of my mess up... the 3rd was 17.6 with the pwr on... even with the mods it still does 17.6... calculated hp on the wheels r 110hp but the fly wheel tells me 149 to 151... mods r short ram... flow master delta 40... super flow catalytic converter... 2.25 pipes from the manifold... some resistor mod for the temp sensor... some stereo system... total pounds were 3216 with me in the car... the performance xs comin tho

3216 w/ you? what car? :shock: What do you weight like 500lbs? Most of the daewoos should be in the 2500-2750 range stock w/o driver

autos got long gear ratios so their acceleration is slower than manual ones... this could be normal but you gotta ask someone with an auto leggy to compare times just to be sure.

your 1/4 is slow because your in a heavy car with a 4 cylinder in it if your want a fast 1/4 than start thinking about power to weight. take out evrything that isn't needed for drag racing including sterio, seats, carpet, sound deadening crap, head liner, spair, jack, switch with light wheels, and change to a carbon fiber seat.....ect. than maybe youll start getting into the 16s

but darkstalker has done 15.64... some person posted the performance x mod cut his 0 to 60 from 9 to 7

All my mods helped that plus i've taken out all the useless crap on my car. It ways just under 3000 lbs.

Everything in the trunk and I take out all the seats except the drivers seat when I know i'm going to race and I have light weight wheels.

hehe... i'm dropping the green woo to 1700 with me in it (that's the goal)


cf seats
cf panels (dash, etc)
cf roof panel
cf hood
cf trunk
remove all sound deadening (including epoxy deadening... car was 18 pounds lighter after removal)
remove all epoxy: stuff around tail lights (another 6 pounds)
remove back seat, spare, all cosmetic plastics in cabin
remove undercoating (12 pounds)

etc
