ubuyau wrote C refers to the position on the plug
Where each wire goes into the light blue plug,
on the plug itself there is a little molded number
to tell which one it is.

the problem is in the correct position of the wires
if u can gave as clear pis of it

and I have tested my diode and it work

You have a 1.6l, right? And you're trying to do what, install a tach? If so, you don't need any adapters, just look in the how-to section of this website and scroll all the way to the bottom. You will find SIMPLE steps on how to install a tach.

no... the man got a 1.5 SOHC like mine and he tried every thing to hook up the tach and the best thing he could achive is getting half signal (red lining at 3250 RPM).

yeah... their was this diode trick and some dual resistance setup, i know dhd tried the diod trick and it didn't work out for him.

i am going to try a different thing... i am going to harras one of my fellow woo owners and get his OEM cluster that got a tach and try it on my car, if it works fine i will buy myself a cluster with a tach... the idea of messing with ECU wiring is killing me.

and the harness in 1.6 is not the same but the connector(for the cluster) the is same as 1.5

this is why i am hoping that the wiring and sockets will perfictly match the tach equippted cluster as i don't think "mass production" and "different harness according to accessories" concepts go together... i have also found wiring to a mid brake light that i don't have on my car and other stuff that implys that the swap is doable and will work.

it is kinda buying a car that have fog lights in its top model... the other models will have fog light holes in ther finders as well but their will be a plastic plug to cover the hole... it is much cheaper to make the same "fog light" ready fender and add in a plug for the non fog light models than to design a different bumper for each model depending on the accessory list.
