So it should only be able to power two subs at 250rms, riight? no more...
That link shows how you would wire 2 dual 4ohm subs down to 1 ohm. Basically the amp you are looking at shows that it is stable with a 1ohm load and gives out the most power at 1ohm, as opposed to 2 or 4. Only problem I can see with that setup is those subs are rated at 500w rms, and the amp pushes out (as advertised) 1500w @ 1ohm, so you'd be pushing more than the subs are rated to handle consistently. Which may end up with you replacing subs in a very short period of time.
Well i ordered my stuff over the phone.. they were out of the rock fosgate but gave me some kicker that are a little better and they gave me an extra discount to match the fosgate price. I got dual 4 ohm cuz the guy said it'd be better to overpower them at 1ohm than underpower them, that way i can just turn down the gain a bit.
I ended up getting a 2.4 farad cap for the subs and imma use my 1farad for my 2-channel amp.
