redoing entire interior

Post by kinkyllama »

This is a future project... after turbo, suspension, and audio is done. Which im hoping will be before the years end.

Anyways i thought id start getting ideas now. Im going with blue as the only color.. but was woundering if everything was blue/black if that'd be too much black? I mean everything black.. including carpet and headliner. I think the headliner is what would overdue it but i dont want everything black then grey headliner. Ideas?

Heres what i have now.. i plan on finishing that blue part ontop the front dash (where its silver now). Then i wanna paint the rest of the doors black.. or should i just do black carpet? maybe i should leave some grey... uhh jeez.

I like it. It reminds me of 43som's Lanos. I think you should keep it mostly grey with blue and black accents.

Then should i paint all the plastic blue and black and leave the carpet grey?

I think that you should leave most of the plastic grey with blue, black, and maybe even some polished aluminim accents. As for carpet, factory style would look good in that area. I definatley wouldn't want the floor to be black (since you race at the track, black outside + black inside = inferno) and wouldn't want it to be blue either because I think it would be too much for the interior. I'd rather go with a sleek, mostly stock look than something that some might consider "over the top." I'm not trying to stop you from what you want to do but that is just my style. Do what you think would look good. Plus if you do get into Auto Shows, then "over the top" will probably get you some championships.

My Moms a designer and she think i should go with black/blue/grey. I thought it'd look bad but i trust her opinion and you just confirmed that. I just want to go with a good yet clean look. Alotta blue wouldnt just be over the top.. but it wouldnt be very clean. Overall with my car im going with a clean, yet race type look.
