Hello all,
The battery on my 2001 Leganza went completely dead (no lights, no buzzers, radio lost its code, etc) due to a broken battery cable clamp. The car sat with the broken clamp for approximately 4-5 weeks before I discoverred the dead battery ( we were out of town for 2 weeks and then I had the flu for over a week, and it is our second car and is rarely driven (1000 miles a year the last 2 yrs and 40,000 miles total ) to begin with. I replaced the clamp, along with the battery and reset the radio code and everything seemed just the same as before.
I took the car in to have an emissions inspection today and it failed due to being "not ready".
I have read MMamdouhs' article on resetting GM Daewoo engine ECU, here in the HOW TO forum, and was wonderring if his instructions hold true for all Daewoos of all model years or if there are variables that must be considerred and also if there are any other ways to do it. The method MMamdouh describes is not very easy to achieve as I live in the heart of a major city and even the expressways are crowded most of the day.
Thanks for any info.
Ron
