Ram air

Post by darkspeed415 »

i think someone asked this a while ago, or maybe on DT.net, but right now i have just the stock airbox with a hole in the bottom, no resonator, and the fog light opening is empty. could i put like some hose or something to make a ram air, or will the water going in be a problem?

yes it would be a problem try putting it inside the hole where the oem filter box was. I used an aluminium dryer hose instead of paying over $80 for an iceman it works great and I got it for $8 at home depot u will need something to put your filter in because it doesnt fit the hose I used a plastic tube I think it was a 2 1/4". I will post pics of it soon

I wouldn't recommend using a drying machine type hose because that is subject to the engine bay heat and wont give you the coolest air. Just get a U-Bend, cut it up to fit, and voila you have CAI.
