i saw the link but i couldn't figure out the size of the cables from the pic... try contacting the seller on ebay for more feedback on the wire size, other than that it looks like a decent product.

I beleive what you where trying to intale was a voltage regulator, but i believe that it is internal with the alt. grounding issue is more the culprit. most likely under dash, look at all wires grounding to the firewall and outside check all wires that may be rubbing on any metal, and i meean all wires.
