leganza tweeter hookups
ok i installed a panasonic deck in my car a couple of months ago and now i want to hook up the tweeters. I think the 2 wires that would not connect to my stock system (the only 2 left when i put on the wire harness) are the wires from the tweeters but im not sure. can anybody help me figure this out because I really want to get these tweeters workin.
thanks

An easy way to tell with the wiring (as daewoo are fags with their wires, they change the colours many times along the path but...) on the terminal block, there SHOULD be certain colours used. A piar of equal colours, one with a stripe down the side should be there for each set of speakers. your tweeters should be the same. i think mine were grey / grey + black stripe.
If this doesnt work, just eliminate all ones u know arent it and then trial and error it. E.g - Blue = aerial/accessories/rem black = earth yellow = +ve e.t.c

Forgot to say, you can lift out the stock tweeters and look at what wires are connected to that (colour) however, dont be 100% certain that they are right, as the wire colours that were in my door speakers, changed colour by the time they got to the head unit. Daewoo put junction boxes all over the shop. freakn koreans.

lol...yeah i think i have the right wires. the only problem is i dont know where to hook em up at. i mean do i tie em into my front speaker pos.?? and also where is the ground for them?? i see 4 wires coming off of each speaker and they match a bunch of wires that go into my head unit that are supposed to be for the other speakers so i just dont know what to do. i've tried looking up diagrams online but i cant find anything. my next step is to take it to an audio place and see if they cant get them working. im so effin frustrated with all this crap

Yeh im same with woo, i ran new wires all together, as the stock ones are so think they crackle to the shithouse. an easier way of doing it without having to remove as much, just get a normal wire coathanger and stretch it out as one piece of wire... use it to push/pull wires thru small gaps.

running new wires to the tweaters was a bitch. I ended up taking out the glove box and running a guide cable. As a random note... it is official, the 6x9's in my car pump harder then the 12 inch subs in 3 of my friends cars (its the size of the amps, i know, but for the point of the argument). The major plus is that i can still throw crap in my boot and not paranoy about anything hitting anything else (except the amp)

they are the woven kevlar 6x9s that retail for $450. They are pioneer and i got them for $290. I wont touch poineer stuff with a 10 foot pole but they were there and the price was right. They arent half bad but there is no way in hell i would put anything else pioneer in my car
