OK now... if the CAT is empty or drilled (i.e. no CAT) what would stop the ECU from throwing in a CEL???Audacityracing wrote:no, you can remove or drill your cat without this mod

guys... the debate here is about triggering the CEL
Kareem got a Honda city and it has 2 O2 sensors, one in the front of the CAT and the other at the CAT's end so if he didn't use a spark plug anti fouler he will get a CEL.
another idea is to insert a straigt pipe inside the epmted CAT so that it looks as if the CAT is still their (car still under warranty) and also to avoid any rattling sound from the empty CAT.
from the pics i saw for his CAT i say a straight pipe will block exhaust from both sensors and he will get a CEL as well... something like "no signal" or something like that as the sensor is not sencing any exhaust whatsoever.
anyways to give you idea about what i am saying, here are the pics of his CAT:

Those other 2 cats are called resinators (aka mufflers)karim wrote:Porsche Cayen has 4 cats 2 in each side, but the last 2 cat they don't work, as they don't have sensors they are there for just to lower the sound, so there is aftermraket cat back for it and what gain it gives.
